My Holidays

In the holiday I went to Rainbow’s End. First we had to  buy our tickets at the front desk to get the tickets. Then my family and I went and ate hot chips. After that we went and played. First I went to a boat race, the aim of the game is to bump the boats together and the ride is called bumper boats.       

We went to the last ride before leaving, it looked very fun and the ride is called go karts. Before we went on the ride, we had to wait in a very long line. At last it was my turn to go on the go karts. I was coming 1st in the race  until another kart beat me so I came 2nd. Then we headed home.

I had a blast and want to go to Rainbows End again the next holidays.

Insects

TOPIC: People should include insects in their healthy diet

We should eat insects as part of a healthy diet.

I agree with this statement because they are healthy,

they are free and cheaper  to produce.

Insects are healthy because they have fibre and iron in them and they taste good. It has zinc and is low fat and it's good because when it is cooked you actually don’t taste the blood because you have cooked it, just when you eat meat you don’t taste the blood. Insects are good for me and if it is cooked it is good, the good thing is fibre and iron, which is good for our body.

  

Glenbrae is the best school in the world

Glenbrae school in the world, because we do cool sports and kiwi sports, we listen to our teacher and we have great school grounds.

We are the best because we are good at listening, we listen to the speaker and we fold our hands and no drumming while the teacher is speaking.        

Glenbrae is cool because we do cool things we do kiwi can and kiwi sports and we like high jump, and in kiwi can we have lots of fun and we love it because it and kiwi can is so cool because   

We have the best school grounds we love our school grounds because we lay on them and sometime and we love to play with friends on the playgrounds and we love them

Cross Country

Today, Room 7 had to do some exercise. First, we did some stretches to warm up, then we had to do 2 laps around the huge field. As I jogged on, I felt a bit cold, but As I kept running, I felt warmer. I made footprints in the mud as if it were following me. When I had finished doing to laps around the massive field. I sat down, waiting for the others to finish. I felt exhausted when I had sat down. 

 

Brushing your teeth

On Monday the September of 7 Mrs Parker told us It is important to brush your teeth because if you don't brush your teeth you will get bad breath so what we did was Mrs Parker give room 7 a tooth brush to brush our teeth it was fun we had 2 minutes to brush our teeth back forth and also the sides of your teeth it was really fun and nice.

At the mall

It was a stormy day and inside the mall was full  Jacob was a bad guy, he was planning to steal someone bag. Jacob went to an old lady's bag and stole it. Gohan, saw it happen, and went to tell the security. The security ran and got him and took him to the police officer.  The police office arrested Jacob .

“Oh no, you caught me!” yelled Jacob, “What have I done?” He was are ashamed of himself and he never came back and the mall. “When I get out of jail i'm coming for you’’ said Jacob. Gohan said  “but you are not coming back to the mall, ever again and if you come back the police will keep you in jail”.

The moral of the story is that you shouldn't steal in the first place.

Cuboid I made

Mrs Raj taught us how to measure and make a net to create a 3 dimensional shape.

I made a cuboid.

My cuboid has 6 faces,12 edges, 8 vertices. I made this 3D box.

Boxes are made to hold or store things. Boxes are used for packaging.

I love learning about 3D shapes and creating one with Mrs Raj, she is fun.

The son and son’s wife were kind to the old man
dissagree	because the the boy was taking care of  the old man.

The old man was very healthy

The parents were good role models for their son
agree	because the little boy said to the mum and dad i'm making a pig’s trough for you when you are old.

It is important to care for our elders.

Glenbrae science week trem2 week 10 2015

science Week, Tuesday. 2015

 Last week, Glenbrae school had science week. On Wednesday Room 7 went to Room 10. The first thing we did was get into groups. In the groups we got ¼ of an apple and pick which drink liquid would keep the apple from going rotten. The options were vinegar, L & P, and sprite. Our group chose vinegar because we might of used it the real ingredient was vinegar because we tried it and when we lifted it it did it turn brown. and the next step was making and you can chose  l & p, vinegar,sprite, and all group chosen sprite and the leader was Trent and then Mrs Tofa used to mix the flour and Salesi rolled it and when he finished Mrs Card and Mrs Tofa cut it and then we put it on the tray and then Mrs Card baked it and she went dawn to the staff room and she stayed there and after morning tea it was done and we taste it and it was nice and me Loto had the biggest croissant then the others.

I felt happy because we get to  eat our croissant in room 10.   

My road show!

Today Glen brae  school had our inquiry road show. This  is when all  the classes share what they have learned during the term   by creating presentations, posters, diagrams and hands-on activities. I enjoyed learning about Abel Tasman and we all had fun  making our presenetation. I enjoyed all of them.

We went to Butterfly Creek

WALT: write a recount using connectives and descriptive language. 
This is my recount of Butterfly Creek. I found it hard to sit down and write it. Next time I will sit down and never walk around and talk. 


Butterfly Creek - By Simeon 

We went to butterfly creek on Monday the 16th of March. Room 7 and 5 went on the bus we went to butterfly creek to learn about butterflies and dinosaurs, crocodiles, and different creatures. 
And we went on the train, on the train everybody was screaming. We went around in circles. 

After lunch, in the crocodile show, Paul's friend grabbed meat and made the crocodile come and eat it. I felt scared because I thought the man was going to get eaten. 

Water Fun Day

Today we had Water Fun Day. It starts on 9.15am and we got changed in the toilets. We were wearing our house colour t-shirts and we played on the court.

Next it begins, we went on the slide and it was soapy. We went to the next group.
We grabbed the sponge and squeezed it in the bin and we run back to our house groups.
